Hi, I’m Riyadh, a PhD student at HiTZ Center, working on SpeechLMs and how we can make them actually useful for low-resource languages.

Before this I spent time in industry as a software engineer and dipped into NLP research through shared tasks and workshops and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Program in Language and Communication Technologies. These days I’m mostly thinking about speech, text, and the gap between the two when data is scarce.

Have a look around for projects and papers if you’re curious.
